Market Research For Your Business


You often hear people ask why a certain product is not made or why they cannot buy something. Market research aims to find out what potential customers think or want. This can identify gaps in the market and provide opportunities to provide what people want.

USP - A special feature of a product (or service) that makes it easy to promote or sell.

Primary research - is the collection of original data. This is the way to get new ideas, to find out about people's individual buying habits and establish individual customer needs.

Secondary research - is desk based and means researching online and in books and newspapers. Use this to check whether the market is growing or declining. how large it is, the range of goods or services provided, who sells them and the prices they charge.

Market - the customers for a particular product or service
