How To Find Your Place In The Blogging Community

It is very hard to fit in sometimes, much like going to a new school, you have to fit in from the start, this is a lot like blogging.

When I first started blogging, back in January 2016, I really had no idea what I was doing, I didn't know about SEO, or DA, or where to get inspiration of what to write about, I was just completely clueless. The blogging community itself a lovely place, and it's so nice to be a part of it.

Fitting into it is usually finding out what "niche" you want to write about but that's not always the case. You don’t actually have to have a niche to fit into the blogging community. You can write about anything you want to really.

If you're a beauty blogger and you want to write a post about yourself then do it. If you're a food blogger and you want to randomly add in a makeup post then do it. It doesn't really matter what you write about as long as you write about what YOU want to write about. There’s a lot said about the fact that you have to have a niche to fit into this community, I mean you can if you want but you
don’t have too it’s not that necessary.

I mean yes, in the long term of things it helps if you want to work with other bloggers ect, it will help them find out if you fit their brand and if they want to work with you. So, in that sense it does make sense.

I myself, know it’s hard to know what to write about and it is tempting just to find something of a topic and copy and paste it in your own blog (which I have done before), adding links and sourcing information but that’s not the right way to go about it and I found that out the hard way.

Finding blog post ideas can be tricky but there’s usually loads of boards on Pinterest which link to other people’s blog posts which you can use ideas from or at least that’s what I do, maybe changing the titles a bit to make it your own.

Fitting into to somewhere new is hard but eventually you’ll find a way and you won’t need to go back to old habits.
